Market Development Manager Vascular (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities include

  • Devising and implementing key marketing and sales strategies in cooperation with Regional Sales Management. Plan growth, and assist in the successful implementation of those strategies in the defined markets.
  • Responsible for driving the growth in revenue, gross margin and market share for his/her product line (or lines) in his/her market segment within the defined geographical markets.
  • Develop sound understanding of market trends, customer needs and competitor activities.
  • Ensure effective gathering and analysis of competitor intelligence information.
  • Devise and drive the implementation of agreed product strategies for the segment and support the Sales Management in implementing the strategies at a regional/country level.
  • Managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, interacting and maintaining the relationships with a diverse set of business partners – current or prospective.
  • Provide active support for key internal business projects and changes.
  • Support management and development of new and existing market segments.
  • Together with Sales, devise and drive the implementation of pricing strategies that maximizes market growth and gross margin for his/her product line(s) within the defined geographical market assigned/Countries.
  • Devise innovative promotional campaigns, covering direct mailing, or other programs that will drive business growth for his/her product line(s) to meet business plan objectives, within promotional budgets
  • Manage Divisional exhibitions, KOL/strategic customer events & visits that lead to effective implementation of product line(s) strategies, within budgets
  • Implement product and competitor training for the sales team where required
  • Provide regular (minimum monthly) analysis of results to monitor performance of his / her product line(s).
  • Provide product line forecasts for both financial and production planning purposes.
  • Proactively evangelise the product/product line ensuring internal teams understand the ‘big picture’.
  • Liaise with EMEA Product Managers in order to voice the needs of Indirect markets & customers.
  • Conduct Market Research across all relevant fields to provide extensive information.

Reports to: Marketing and Sales Director Indirect Business

Your profile:

  • Minimum of three years international marketing experience in the Medtech Industry, ideally coming with a background from Intensive Care/Vascular business (Central Venous catheters placed in ICU.
  • Record of achievement of sales and market growth through effective customer selling/promotional strategies.
  • Fluency in oral and written English, a second European language would be a distinct advantage.
  • Outstanding communication skills within all levels of organization and excellent written and communication skills.
  • Skills to convince sales force and their management, dealers, external contractors to follow strategy.
  • Results oriented drive with an enthusiastic, positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Able to analyse problems and present solutions to maintain sales momentum.
  • Expert industry and product knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a solution.
  • Creativity and a flair for innovation and entrepreneurial focus.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams to achieve extraordinary outcomes.
  • Energetic and happy to travel frequently abroad (expectation is to spend minimum 50% of time in the field).
  • Personal satisfaction from meeting objectives through others rather than responsibility for others.
  • Is flexible/can adjust personal style as required to be effective (strong diplomacy skills).
