Technical Sales Engineer Continental Europe (m/w/d)

As a product development and outsourcing partner, we will use our vast, in-house capabilities and years of experience to take a project through design, engineering, regulatory affairs, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, assembly and packaging.


The role of Sales Engineer for the OEM business will report to the International Sales Director and will be responsible for serving customers by identifying their needs for engineering adaptations, products, equipment and services.


  • Driving sales projects: Establish new, and maintaining existing, long-term relationships with OEM customers to explain the companies products, design capabilities, and production facility capabilities.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements and issues. Prepare quotes by studying drawings, plans, and related customer documents; consult with finance, plant engineers, demand planning, and other professional and technical personnel. Analyze costs and sales ROI.
  • Provide after-sales support services including drawing changes/revisions, next generation projects and customer training.
  • Prepare Sales Funnel and Forecasting Reports. Exceed Quarterly and Annual Sales Targets. Record and maintain client contact data.
  • Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events. Make technical presentations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed. Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts. Assist in the design of custom-made products.
  • Position will require 60% travel from home based.


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required, 1+ years of engineering experience
  • Technical understanding. Strong project management skills. Understanding of the medical device industry preferred, and an understanding of the OEM business is plus
  • Product knowledge in catheter fabrication, and/or extrusion preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills. Knowledge and understanding of product development, solid reasoning, planning and execution abilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to Participate in Team Environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative. Must have the ability to travel internationally.
  • Fluent in German & English (French will be a plus).
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
